Our Club is a public organization established on the principle of voluntary association connected by community of interests of astronomy amateurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main objectives of the Club are:

• popularization of the knowledge of astronomy in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• preparation and organization of astronomical observations;
• organization and carrying out of astronomical activities;
• overall coordination of astronomical observations о of astronomy amateurs;
• rendering of assistance to astronomy amateurs in organization and carrying out of scientific and other research activities;
• arrangement of conditions for communication and exchange of experience.

We will be glad to all astronomy amateurs feeling need for communication and professional growth.

The Club traces its history back to the moment of formation of the Circles of Astronomy and Telescopes making in the Young Palace and Schoolchildren’s Palace in Almaty and Rudniy in the beginning of the 80’s. These circles were conducted by the enthusiasts and astronomy amateurs – Vera Zagainova, Ada Mamatkazina, Vladimir Barbanakov, Yevgeniy Semenikhin. There was no club as such at that time; there were circles the main objective of which was involvement of schoolchildren and young people in scientific and technical work and study of astronomy. The club consisted of former members of the circles of the Young Palace and Schoolchildren’s Palace, as well as persons being keen on astronomy and construction of telescopes. Since then the Club, as well as the country, as a whole, have gone through several stages of development.
